Tastefully Garish

                Just because he loved Molly, was about to marry her, didn't mean he didn't have time for Severus. In fact, they were fairly close. Molly had even been making a cake for Severus, as it was his birthday, but she'd stepped out to go to the market.

                "Pink?" Severus raised an eyebrow.

                "It was my idea," said Arthur.

                "Been hit over the head, have you? It looks garish."

                "On the cake it does, I'll admit."

                Severus turned around in annoyance, hand on hip. "Oh yes, and was there some other place you had planned on putting it?"

                "So glad you asked, dear, really," said Arthur slyly, moving to pick up the large jar of pink frosting. "Now strip and lay back across the table. I promise I fixed the problem with the splinters."

                "That's a shock. A Gryffindor actually fixing something for once."

                "We don't have much time, really, Severus, so you're going to have to undress post haste."

                When Molly returned to a rather pink kitchen table, an empty jar of icing, and a rather guilty-looking Arthur, she demanded to know what they'd done with the frosting.

                "Ate it?" said Arthur.

                "Why is it in Severus's hair?" she asked, picking some out of it.

                "Honestly, Arthur, don't beat around the bush," said Snape, to a shocked glance from Arthur. "We had a food fight."
