Current Top 10 Fave Pairings
C&Ped from a comment I just did to a question on bltpaintchart's IJ on what some of our fave HP pairings were.
1. Snape/Arthur. I love this because these two men are my favorite two characters. At times when I write snarthur I use my own sort of timeline, and fuck JK lol. I think it works because I think their personalities match up well. I tihnk everything about Snape would amuse Arthur. Also, I always have him still married to Molly, just seeing Snape on the side. Snape gets jealous sometimes, but he takes it out on Arthur and then they're alright again.
2. Snape/Filch. I love how their flaws mesh. They're so dirty and cranky and all, but I think they make beautiful music together. *smirk*
3. Snape/James. I just think it's hawt. *shrug*
4. Snape/Dumbledore. Especially non-DH compliant. There's an utter sweetness about most snumbledore fics. Albus is another of my favorite characters. Surprisingly, as for the snames, I don't really like James much at all. Well, not the book James at least. I like my own James.
5. Lucius/Filch. Lucius likes getting his hands dirty.
6. Albus/Sirius. These are the two that I'm completely sure are gay. I think they have a great dynamic. I've written a couple of these recently and Sirius is so snarky when it comes to Albus. Ee!
7. Sirius/Snape. Whether hate!sex or fluff, this has been one of my favorite pairings for a very, very, very long time.
8. Moody/Kingsley. First of all, I just love both of them. Moody is so "BLAHCONSTANTVIGILANCEARGGGGG!" and Kingsley, on the other hand, is really strong and subtle. I love when Moody is in pairings because of his body's state of disrepair -- chunk from his nose, that wicked-awesome eye, that cute little stump of a leg when he takes his clawed wooden prosthetic off . . . *swoon*
9. Young Snape/Alecto. I wrote this a couple days ago and loved it. Haven't really read one besides what I wrote.
10. Snape/Ron. Not very common, but when you get a good one, it's a good one! The Snape/Ron dynamic is cute because they can push each other's buttons but the fic content tends not to be as mushy as Snape/Hermione or Snape/Harry.
And that's my top ten!
